Is the Maternity Acupressure Guide a Scam?
The Maternity Acupressure Guide claims to be able to help you speed your delivery along by utilizing a number of acupressure points on the body. Not only that, but it also purports to be able to minimize stress for both the mother and the child, alleviate aches and pains, and give an overall sense of well-being, among other claims. Pregnancy and a new child are the most important things to a new mother, how do you know this guide is safe and not just another snake oil scheme? Could this guide potentially be harmful for the mother or the child? What exactly is acupressure? I decided to find out. I am very wary of any product or service that offers medical benefits when it does not come straight from a doctor, much less an ebook sold over the internet!
Lets start with a brief history of acupressure, for those that may not know. Acupressure is actually an ancient healing art, practiced for thousands of years. Its origins are in China and it is most often known as a complimentary medicine, beneficial but also used ‘on the side’ so to speak. But does it have any REAL medical bearing in today’s modern society?
Having a friend that is eight months pregnant, I went ahead and bought this guide. Her husband happens to be a general practitioner, so I was in luck. I gave the guide to him and told him to have a read over it and let me know what he thought in the morning, and here are the results– yes, this treatment does in fact work!
It turns out he had taken several trips to China in his twenties and did a little research on ancient healing arts in his spare time, and put a lot of what he learned to good use on himself and his closest friends and family. In fact, he even started his wife on the exercises from the Maternity Acupressure Guide that very evening! The next day, my friend couldn’t stop thanking me for such a wonderful pregnancy gift! She said she hadn’t slept that well in six months. If you or a loved one is expecting, you owe it to yourself to get this guide, click here for more information.
