Go Out This Summer with Maternity Bathing Suits
Maternity Bathing Suits are used by women who are pregnant, but a wide variety of Modest Swimwear designs exist. Many designs are demure for those who wish to cover up, but others are just as skimpy as regular options, only providing more room for swelling breasts and bellies. Maternity bathing suits of the former category can often seem little different than regular Maternity Apparel or even ordinary sun dresses. Those belonging to the latter often appear like nothing more than simple bikinis and common one or two-pieces.
The most risqué designs even incorporate thongs and g-strings! Such is the state of maternity bathing suits in the post-millennial West, where motherhood has been acknowledged as sexy since the 1990s and pregnant celebrities can no longer grace magazine covers for shock value because maternity has been mainstreamed, right alongside female sexuality. But enjoying the beach while pregnant involves more than the right swimwear, as many activities should not be indulged, such as tanning.
The main concern involves overheating, of course (though premature wrinkling and the likelihood of skin cancer should be reasons enough, baby or no). And high temperatures cause the body to lose more water, and not simply due to perspiration, so there’s also dehydration to contend with. Naturally, people think that if they just watch out they can still indulge in a nice tan – but why take the risk? Physically rigorous activities are now encouraged, but being at the beach generally means being out of doors and under the sun. Again, while not an absolute danger in itself, there seems to be no reason why an expectant mother couldn’t simply wait until after her pregnancy to resume such activities.
Still need convincing? Okay, how about this: exposure to the sun might make you more prone to chloasma (full name, cholasma faciei, literally “the mask of pregnancy,” often better known as melasma), a condition whereby dark splotches appear on the face or forearms. Chloasma can happen to anyone, but seems to afflict women in particular, and especially when pregnant. Dark irregular patches commonly develop on the upper cheek, nose, lips, or forehead over time. Thankfully, the discoloration is only temporary – but why courts it in the first place? Treatment is available to hasten its fading or cover up its appearance, but hassles are involved, not the least of which is a strict avoidance of sunlight (except, of course, in the case of cosmetic cover-up)! Other than that there is no problem with boosting up the fashion no matter what the case or the situation may be. And there we have it, another addition to the thousands and thousands of different modest swimwear available for everyone all ages. Yes we can enjoy swimming but enjoying it with style creates better experience, who knows, maybe it is what’s needed to alter what happens in the future.
